Holms Hus (Holm’s House) is the first self built house in Nuuk. Today it is left decayed and there are many opinions and voices in Nuuk about that house.

In the summer of 2019 Nuuk Art Museum has invited two artists to use Holm’s House as an inspiration and a starting point for an art installation.

Bolatta Silis-Høegh (b.1981) is the first artist. Her installation will be inspired by cotton grass which right now is popping everywhere in and around Nuuk like small light bulbs. The lightness of the cotton grass and the blue sky of the summer is the inspiration for the art installation opening Thursday the 18th of July at 4pm with coffee and cake. Everyone is welcome.

The installation will be at view in Holm’s House from Friday the 19th of July till Sunday the 21th of July and from Friday 26th till Sunday 28th of july from 2pm till 5pm.
